Our beloved grandfather, Poppy Sol, started this business in an open-air market. Three generations later, we’re still bringing smiles to our customers' faces.
Almond paste is a great ingredient for your everyday baking. Our paste contains 67% select grade almonds so you can be sure that you're getting a quality product.
The paste adds a delicate depth to any dessert you make. The subtle sweetness of the almonds coupled with the natural fruitiness makes it a pantry staple. From scrumptious almond cookies and fruit tarts to delectable almond croissants and wedding cakes, the possibilities are endless!
Almond Paste vs. Marzipan
Almond paste generally contains 2 parts almonds to 1 part sugar, whereas marzipan contains a higher ratio of sugar to almond. The high almond content of almond paste makes it a wonderful filling for cakes and baked goods, adding a rich almond taste. Marzipan is more pliable than almond paste; it is often molded into candy and eaten as is, or rolled out as a fondant for cakes. To make marzipan, you can combine equal parts confectioner's sugar and almond paste with a touch of light corn syrup.
Our almond paste is packed in steel cans to preserve freshness. Once opened, the paste will stay fresh for a month; we recommend covering the can of unused paste with a layer of plastic wrap and a layer of foil, and storing it in the fridge. And, yes, the paste can be frozen so it can last for up to a year (You're not the only one wondering this)! Just remove the remaining almond paste from the can, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap, and store the wrapped paste in a tightly sealed container in the freezer.
2. 64% of the fats found in almonds are monounsaturated fats and, according to the American Heart Association, these fats help lower harmful cholesterol levels as effectively as expensive pharmaceutical drugs.
3. 1 oz of almonds has 7.6 grams of protein, while a whole egg has just 5.5 grams of protein. The protein in almonds maintains healthy muscle growth in your body.
4. 1 oz of almonds contains as much calcium as ¼ cup of milk for strong bones.

“My sister recommended Nuts Online to me after I raved about her wonderful macaroon cookies made with your almond paste and sliced almonds. They were better than the Italian bakeries in Boston! I tried almond paste from the supermarket, but the cookies didn't come out right. I placed my order and the goodies arrived two days later beautifully packaged. You should be very proud of your company and employees. The products, service and convenience are like no other. I look forward to placing many more orders in the future. Thanks a bunch!”

“you guys are AWESOME. Ordered on Dec. 23rd-got it the morning of the 24th. Spent a fortune at the "Big Outdoor Store" who assured me delivery before Christmas, but the items got rerouted to KY? At least I can bring fantastic almond cookies to the party since the presents aren't here. Thanks for keeping your delivery promise. You are a rare gem!”

“Hurrah! Hurrah! My almond paste arrived today! --just as you said it would. I'm so excited to have almond paste as I bake Dutch butter letters each year for Christmas. It was easy to come by when I lived in NJ where there still are some Dutch bakeries willing to sell it. Since moving to Virginia it has been impossible to find at in a quantity that would offer a good price. The last good batch I bought was in Pella, Iowa, a wonderful little Dutch community. Now I don't have to go that far. Though I do love Pella, it is a long way to go for almond paste. The 7 lb. container will give me enough to share some with my children who are carrying on the tradition of baking butter letters for Christmas. Yum!”

“Hello to the Nut Family,
You all seem like a fun group of people. My friend in the UK was wanting the almond paste, I sent her the recipe to make home made and then I found your site and ordered it. It arrived as it was told to be. It arrived in good condition, thank for the freebie of walnuts, I enjoyed them. I am saving one can for me and will mail the other to the UK. I know she will be as excited as I am. I am ready to use mine and see what I can cook delicious with the almond paste. Thanks again. Patsy”

“I am thrilled!! I have ordered almond paste at Christmas and was very pleased with what came, but this order beats all. I ordered poppy seeds and vanilla beans. The vanilla beans were so fresh and so many for the price. I cannot believe it, I will order from here again and again!!”
