Our beloved grandfather, Poppy Sol, started this business in an open-air market. Three generations later, we’re still bringing smiles to our customers' faces.
Marcona almonds, the "Queen of Almonds," are imported from Spain. They are shorter, rounder, softer, and sweeter than the California variety. These blanched Marcona almonds are roasted in olive oil and then sprinkled with sea salt, offering a delicious taste.Marcona Almonds vs. Regular Almonds
Marcona almonds are prized for being more tender, sweet, and delicate than regular almonds, with a nice buttery flavor that is due to their high oil and moisture content. California almonds have been described as tasting more “woody” in comparison. Long used in Spanish cuisine, Marcona almonds are now gaining popularity among Americans. Marcona almonds contain the same excellent health benefits as all almonds, including cholesterol-lowering monounsaturated fats. They are also an equally rich source of protein, antioxidants, iron, and calcium.
Use Marcona almonds in salads, with cheeses, alongside fruit, and in desserts. The Spanish use marcona almonds in tapas and treats like turron, a traditional nougat candy. The enjoyable flavor, and smooth, delicate texture of these unique almonds creates a wonderful snack in itself. For more options, see our entire selection of almonds.

“Sublime almonds! Just like the ones I had in Spain, but possibly even better. And... They even came a day early. Will be a repeat customer for sure!

“My husband and I discovered Marcona almonds on our second honeymoon trip to Spain and basically ate the country's supply of almonds! We received a gift package after the birth of our third child with the almonds in it and rediscovered them. I ordered them as a nice little Father's Day surprise and the whole family is enjoying them as we speak! Thanks for your prompt service and easy online shopping experience! We will definitely be coming back for more!

“Excellent! So happy that I found these Marcona almonds. I'd prefer dry roasted but since those are difficult to come by, I'm glad these were roasted with olive oil and not something scary like cottonseed oil.”
