Our beloved grandfather, Poppy Sol, started this business in an open-air market. Three generations later, we’re still bringing smiles to our customers' faces.
Marcona almonds, the "Queen of Almonds," are imported from Spain. They are shorter, rounder, softer, and sweeter than the California variety. These blanched Marcona almonds are roasted in olive oil and then sprinkled with sea salt, offering a delicious taste.Marcona Almonds vs. Regular Almonds
Marcona almonds are prized for being more tender, sweet, and delicate than regular almonds, with a nice buttery flavor that is due to their high oil and moisture content. California almonds have been described as tasting more “woody” in comparison. Long used in Spanish cuisine, Marcona almonds are now gaining popularity among Americans. Marcona almonds contain the same excellent health benefits as all almonds, including cholesterol-lowering monounsaturated fats. They are also an equally rich source of protein, antioxidants, iron, and calcium.
Use Marcona almonds in salads, with cheeses, alongside fruit, and in desserts. The Spanish use marcona almonds in tapas and treats like turron, a traditional nougat candy. The enjoyable flavor, and smooth, delicate texture of these unique almonds creates a wonderful snack in itself. For more options, see our entire selection of almonds.

“Oh boy...my nuts arrived this afternoon and have already broken into them. I am SOOOOOOO happy with my Spanish almonds...I can NOT tell you. I have been to Spain many times and always love those nuts. They had them at my grocery store...for a while...but not anymore. So...found that you guys carry them...and...I will have to say...yours are just as good if not better than the markets in Spain. I don't know where you get them...but they are EXCELLENT. And while getting the nuts...one can not only get 2 things..but more. So..I ordered the dried strawberries. Who knew how good those could be. Have not broken into the other items...but they sure look and feel good. AND...I love you box and your packaging. If I lived close to you...I think I would have to work there...just seems like great products with great fun.
Thank you and I will be ordering more in the future...count on it!!!

“I just love these almonds! I have a recipe that I use for them.
1 lb. Marcona almonds
2 tsp. good olive oil
2 tblsp. Minced fresh thyme
1 tsp. kosher salt
2 good pinches of fleur de sel
Combine first four ingredients on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Watch them carefully after 10 minutes. May only need 3 minutes last go around. Sprinkle with fleur de sel after removing from oven while the almonds are still hot.
I serve these at cocktail parties and they go very fast...people can't leave them alone! Let me know what you think..?
Thanks so much, Monica”
