Our beloved grandfather, Poppy Sol, started this business in an open-air market. Three generations later, we’re still bringing smiles to our customers' faces.
Our chopped dates are rolled in oat flour so they’re great for baking and cooking. These chopped dates won’t stick to each other so you can easily use them in your recipes. Try them in muffins, breads, and other baked treats. They are also delicious for snacking, and provide excellent levels of dietary fiber and potassium.
Uses of Chopped Dates
Chopped dates are extremely versatile and will lend a naturally sweet flavor to your recipes. Perfect for baking, you can add them to cakes, muffins, granola bars, bread pudding, energy bites, or any other treats. They pair well with other dried fruits and nuts, and make a nice addition to oatmeal and cereal. Chopped dates are a healthy option for sweetening smoothies. Their chewy texture is great for tossing with salads, pilafs, rice and quinoa. We’re certain you’ll find many wonderful uses for chopped dates in your cooking!

“My first order and I'll be back! the brazil nuts are fresh and delicious, pretty even sized pieces (how'd ya do that?). Thanks for the sample of almonds too! Some in our house are "teeth challenged" so i plan to grind some in a small hand grinder so they can sprinkle them atop their cereal, yogurt, pudding, atop a sandwich etc. The chopped dates are excellent plus you get the extra fiber of oat flour. That's good for the diabetics in our house who can have a bit of sweets but not a whole buncha big medjools!. Thanks so much I am glad I ordered and will do so again soon. ”

“These dates arrived QUICKLY!!! We love 'em and only can buy them when we travel to Austin, TX; Temple has a population of approx 50,000 and Killeen is close with a population of 70000 but there is no store that sells dates like these. Was so happy to find your website! The quality is exactly as we are used to from Whole Foods and better even we saved on fuel and time....they were delivered right to our door!!! Thanks.”

“Loved my first order! It definitely won't be my last! I ordered dried strawberries, kiwi, dates, mixed berries, and papaya...they are all delicious! My seven year old daughter loves the kiwi, and is taking some to school today for "show and tell"! ”

“Love your site and products! I have been searching for a source for chopped dates and was so pleased to see that you have them in 5 pound bags. They are delicious. Also, I had been searching for years for lemon chips and you had these as well. Also excellent. Your site is great and the product offerings are fantastic and quite diverse. Ordering was snap and shipping was prompt. This was my first order with you and I will definitely be ordering again. Thanks!”

“OMG, you are the best! Right on time. I could have kissed the UPS guy tonight! Now, I can make datenut bread - which I haven't been able to make since moving to CA. Each time I went to a store and looked at what they had in the way of dates, I was so disappointed. I don't believe I should have to take a second mortgage out on my house to afford to buy enough chopped dates to make datenut bread. Also, the glazed mixed fruit is "seasonal" here. So, don't try to make cannoli filling unless it's between October to January! I am so happy to know I can get it any darn time I need it. I am totally nuts over you! ”

“As always everything is great!Even the chocolate things were O.K. When the box is delivered its just like christmas in the living room, all of us can't wait to open all the blue bags of gooooodness. And baking with fresh ingredients is always a plus, and you can tell the difference from getting them from the grocers and getting them from nuts online, they are so much better from the nut store and even with shipping the price is also better! Keep up the great job, thank you Kathy and family here in Ohio.”
