Chokeberry, also called Aronia is known for many health benefits - lowers blood pressure and cholesterol to name two. The flavor is a bit bitter, which I like. I soak 1-2 tablespoons of dried berries in lemon water, then as I drink the water, chew on a few berries at a time. They’re called chokeberry for good reason. They become dry and stick in my throat. A swig of water washes it down.

When I lived in Oregon, I used to pick the choke cherries & wash, dry & make choke cherry jam.Absolutely delicious.Small but 9h so good.

The taste is not a favorite of mine but I'm still trying it in different recipes

Of five different dried fruits purchased, this one is disappointed. Too dry and flat with a bitter flavor. Wish to return.

Extremely sour

I mixed the choke berries with the sea buckthorn berries along with almonds and pecans. That combination made a very tasty and hearty trail mix!!

I tried a small bag of these because I heard they were healthy but wasn't sure if I could stand the taste. After tasting: OMG these are great! I'm ordering a 5 lb bag next time. Mixed with organic raw cacao nibs they are to die for.

Sweet & puckery-tart too - a lot of flavor. I eat them plain - they do temp stain your teeth, so if you plan on having a picture taken or be out in public, may want to brush after you indulge. Bluish tinted teeth do look a bit odd ...

Im still not quite sure about choke berries I know the health benefits but still trying to figure out how to incorporate into recipes ???

never had them before; floating them n my glasses of water for the day, then putting outside . . . maybe some will come up!

Too 'crackly,' not much flavor. May try to rehydrate them.

I love it

I don't like the taste but I love the benefits of choke berries. It's a tart that you definitely have to get use too then it's not so bad. Eating these choke berries definitely bring down your blood pressure and make your bowel movements regular. That's what I've noticed so far. Everyone should have a little choke berry in their life!

I'm so glad you carry organic chokeberries. They're hard to find, and they're supposed to be a very healthy type of berry.

Better than I expected or that I have in the past. The berries are very flavorful taste great.

Great tasting with oatmeal!!!

Not too sweet! These have a nice flavor and hold their shape well when you cook with them. No sugar added is also a big plus. Use them as a replacement for high sugar and carb dried blueberries!

I researched the health benefits of aronia (choke) berries on line and decided to try them. My introduction to aronia (choke) berries were these dried berries, and they are absolutely wonderful. I eat them by the handful, and I very much enjoy the taste. I eat very cleanly and stay away from all processed foods. These berries are tart yet sweet to me and I cannot stop eating them. They are exceptional in a fruit salad of blueberries, blackberries and chokeberries. I order them by the case.

While commonly so bitter as to make one "choke," these taste sweet and flavorful. More importantly they are high in phytonutrients and very *low* on the glycemic scale per my own testing.
