Perfect in my Mom's chocolate chip cookie recipe, though I don't use chocolate chips because I don't like them. LOL I did see lemon chips here which I'm going to try soon. Compared to the brown sugar I usually buy, I don't see a difference. It's got a nice aroma and gave the cookies a distinctive caramel-like flavour.

Love this sugar and enjoy using it in my teas.

I love everything about Demerara sugar. I have been using Demerara sugar in my coffee for 60 years. Also use it in recipes that call for brown sugar. So happy to be able to buy in bulk at Nuts.com. Every time I receive a delivery it brings a smile to my face. Not just for the sugar but the packaging is hilarious.

I find the Nuts.com brand of Demerara sugar to have deep flavor and color. I enjoy using it to top muffins, galettes, breads and in our oatmeal. Plus, it’s a fantastic value at the price per pound.

This dark brown sugar is soft, moist and has an incredible depth of flavor. I have come to use it exclusively in any recipe that calls for brown sugar. Now that it is available in the one pound bags with the resealable closure, it is easier to maintain the perfect texture.

For baking and cooking this is great because I'm diabetic

This has been for several years in a class by itself among readily available dark brown sugars. I wouldn't even think about changing. It cooks well, mixes well, bakes well and, in rare instances, tastes good on a spoon.

This batch is great compared to my last one, which was so light in color that made me think it was Turbinado (and almost sent back); and not Demerara because Demerara is much darker, richer, has a greater molasses flavor.

Plan on making my bourbon old fashioned with some Demerara syrup.
