A great sour bite

I love these dried gooseberries so much. Just a few in a snack container of nuts brings a tangy sunshine to the whole experience.

It is difficult to find excellent Dried Gooseberries. I REALLY like yours, that is why I have reordered them.

Taste and quality

These are both chewy and slightly crunchy, very unusual flavor and texture like a big raisin with tiny, flat seeds. I really like these and the flavor is sweet, something like a dried tart cherry, but not as sour. If you've ever had the fresh Golden Berries being sold in the produce section in little pint clamshells, these are those. They are actually Cape Gooseberries, aka Golden Berries, which are South American; not the subarctic plants of North America and Eurasia. So they are related to tomatoes and ground cherries -- if you have an allergy, be careful.

When I don't want something sweet like a fig this is a good, sour alternative.

Sweet and delicious-way better than fresh gooseberries. Our favorite!

Terrific, nice and tart. If you don’t enjoy tart tasting fruit, don’t order these. I like tart fruit so I thought I’d give these a try. I wasn’t disappointed!

Wow! The flavor knocks your socks off. Be prepared for tart! I can’t eat sweet dried fruit, and these are pretty low carb. I gave one to a friend who said “I have not had this much flavor in my mouth all at once in over a year“

Love them in my salads

I first tasted these in the antioxidant mix. I love the sharp sour flavor they have. On their own they aren't as dry as the ones in the mix and I don't like that, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Superfood!! Its amazing...Dogs are also allowed these, my yorkie LOVES them. And I do too.

I love gooseberries in all forms and often buy them dried. These were bitter and had no gooseberry flavor. I am trying to contact for return/refund

This batch is exactly as it should be (amber golden-not brown and wilted). The gooseberries are perfect. Drop them in hot water to make them softer and enjoy your vitamin c! :)

I love these berries, although they are not actual gooseberries. I think the description that calls them cape gooseberries is accurate, but the name is a bit misleading, since these are berries of the genus physalis rather than actual gooseberries, which are a very different berry of the genus ribes. Delicious, nonetheless!

fantastic....golden, dark golden, many soft berries-unusual because I often see dried overly dried/ripened ones. Perfect!

Usually, I get a lot of amber colored, dark golden, soft gooseberries. In this batch, there less of them in this bag but still enough to make me happy. :) This is a perfect vitamin mix and I prefer these berries to any vitamin C supplements. Thank you! I hope to order more next month. :)

Seems very healthy for the body. Very sour for those who like sour foods. Packaging is great.

This batch didn't have as many plump gold/dark amber colored berries but they were still good. LOVE them!

OHHHHH the tartness of these berries is addictive!! I toss these in cranberry sauce recipes, fruit salad, and with energy trail mixes. YUM!

Lovely packaging, good price for a hard-to-find item in a large quantity, and delicious quality! Although they are dried fruit, that didn't mean that they were stale. Freshness and flavor were packed into each berry. Exceptional service, would shop at nuts.com again!

The way they should be. Exactly as pctured golden orange. I bought so many bad ones from different companies in the past dark brown with a funky overly ripened taste and smell. I like to think I am eating a bag of Skittles when I sit down with a handful.

Totally addicted to these! I mix them in a pineapple/grapefruit salad so the next day after they absorb the fruit juices they are really soft. I also mix in with apples for raw apple pie, a "secret ingredient" in cranberry sauce, etc. Nuts.com always delivers fast and fresh!

Just got my Nuts.com box of delights from Fed Ex that they secured from the rain in a plastic bag. I first opened your free bag, thank you, of Australian licorice. The best tasting licorice ever! Many years ago I learned to love the licorice taste as a six year old on visits to uncle Jim's garden-yard in Daytona, Florida where I was allowed to pull up, dust off, and eat all I wanted of the fennel growing all over the yard. Such a happy memory. I'll be ordering the Australian next time. I'm now going to pop this delicious organic popcorn in olive oil and your wonderful Himalayan salt, yummy. Thank you.

On a whim, I decided to order dried gooseberries and gooseberry jam for my English class. We were reading a book and none of my children have ever tasted gooseberries, which figured prominently in the chapter we were reading. The order was placed on a Tuesday, and delivered on Wednesday. The kids got to taste gooseberries in a timely fashion. Fabulous company, fabulous customer service. I would definitely order from this company again!
