| "I make the most delicious chunky applesauce using whatever apples are on hand. I like to include apples that won't break up into mush. I peel, core and cut the apples in big, big chunks, put in a pot, add a wee bit of water, a wee bit of regular sugar and lots and lots of cinnamon red hots. Let it simmer a while. If there aren't enough red hots to make a big difference in taste and color, just add more. Delicious! The way I use cinnamon red hots, I can't keep them in stock if I buy those puny packages at the grocery store. I hope you will try this recipe. It can be served hot or cold and it goes with everything. I've really spoiled my family.
