Recipe for Sunflower Pie

Recipe Ingredients:
eggs
1/2  cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4  cup granulated sugar
1/4  teaspoon salt
1/2  cup light corn syrup
1/2  cup dark corn syrup
tablespoons melted sunflower margarine, cooled
teaspoon vanilla
cup Roasted Sunflower Seeds, Salted
unbaked 9" pie crust
1/4  cup Chopped Sunflower Seeds

Cooking Directions:
1.  Set oven to 350 F.

2.  Beat eggs until blended, but not frothy. Combine sugars, salt, syrups, margarine and vanilla; stir into eggs.

3.  Spread sunflower kernels on the bottom of the pie shell; pour mixture over.

4.  Top with chopped sunflower kernels.

5.  Reduce oven heat to 325 F and bake 50 to 60 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Variations: For the syrups, substitute 3/4 white syrup and 1 tablespoon molasses, or use either all dark or all light syrup.
