Recipe for Butter Mint Pats

Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup  Butter (softened)
1 cup  Buttermints (Crushed)
2 cups  All-Purpose Flour
1 tbsp  Sugar

Cooking Directions:
1.  Cream butter at medium speed in large mixing bowl until light. Add crushed mints. Add flour.

2.  Blend well at low speed or with a mixing spoon. If necessary, chill dough for easier handling. Roll out or pat down into a 9-inch square on waxed paper.

3.  Sprinkle with sugar. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Using tiny cutters, press a design on each square. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

4.  Bake at 300 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes, until pale golden brown. Do not overbake.

5.  Note: To crush mints, place in heavy plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
