You asked for em, we got em! Macadamia nuts in the shell...a serious rare treat! Macadamia nuts have an extremely hard shell that is very difficult to open and are best suited for tropical birds such as Macaws. (Who, by the way, LOVE THEM!)

These delicacies taste delicious and can be eaten by people, but just FYI - regular nut crackers will not open macadamia nuts in the shell, and may even break. You must use a nut cracker specifically designed for macadamia nuts.

“Thank you for your quick order. My birds loved your first shipment, hence the second order. I love the habenaro (sp?) pistachios. Out of this world! BTW, Pearl, my 9 yr old Green Winged Macaw was able to crack open the macadamia nut in the shell. She was thrilled with it. After cracking it open, she soaked it for awhile in her water dish and then proceeded to dig out the nut. Thank you again. Love your "nutty" nuts and your fun messages also. Sandy Staples”
