Earl Grey tea is utterly unmistakeable: an aromatic black tea with its distinctive flavor and aroma imparted by the addition of bergamot oil. (What's bergamot oil? It's the oh-so-fragrant extract of the bergamot orange rind, which is also used in many fine perfumes, and in aromatherapy to treat depression.) This cup of tea is invigorating, decidedly refreshing and very English. The leaves are a blend of Ceylon and Indian black teas.
