Freeze Dried Mozzarella Cheese
Freeze dried mozzarella cheese is great for snacking and does not require refrigeration. This makes it the ideal cheesy snack for munching during road trips and bringing along to any kind of outdoor activity, like hiking or camping. It’s even great for cooking!
Try sprinkling some on your favorite foods for a cheesy crunch or rehydrate it for use in recipes that call for regular shredded cheese, like pizzas and pasta. Our freeze dried mozzarella cheese is also a rich source of protein and calcium, and can satisfy a cheesy craving anytime, anywhere!
To rehydrate freeze dried mozzarella cheese, use 1 part water to 4 parts cheese. Slowly pour water over the cheese, and let it sit 5-15 minutes as it rehydrates. Warm water will speed up rehydration, while cold water will take a little longer. The cheese should become moist, and not soggy. Once it’s completely rehydrated, you can use it just like regular shredded mozzarella cheese.
