Turkish Pistachios (Siirt)
Siirt pistachios have one of the most exotic tantalizing tastes found only in this imported nut. This roasted and salted variety of pistachios offers a stronger, more vivid pistachio flavor. Try a few and you will see for yourself. These are much larger in size than the Antep variety
2. You can get more dietary fiber from a serving of pistachios than a 1/2 cup of broccoli or spinach.
3. Pistachios are especially rich in phytosterols, which are directly associated with lowering cholesterol levels, and may offer protection from certain types of cancer.
4. A serving of pistachios has as much thiamin as a 1/2 cup serving of cooked rice.
5. The amount of vitamin B-6 in a one-ounce serving of pistachios is comparable to a standard three-ounce serving of pork or chicken.
6. One serving of pistachios has as much potassium as half a large banana.
7. Pistachios are a very high quality plant source of protein, providing adequate and balanced amounts of essential amino acids. In addition, pistachios are relatively high in a nonessential amino acid, arginine, which may play a potential role in prevention or reduction of cardiovascular disease.
8. While pistachios contain fat, the fat is predominantly monounsaturated, similar to that found in olive oil.

“My brother and his family were here for the weekend. We had two pounds of the Turkish pistachios when they got here, and now they're all gone. So this time we ordered the 5 pound bag. They'll be gone by the next time they come, so we'll have to order more again.
They are by far the best pistachios we've ever eaten.”

“Thank you for letting me revisit a very old and pleasurably memory. In 1969, I was stationed at Incirlik AFB in Turkey and ate my first bag of heated pistachios on the streets of Adana. I have loved pistachios ever since, but have never been able to get the same flavor as those from Turkey. For many years I've had a medical condition that prohibited me from eating any kind of nuts. Recently I had an operation that reversed the condition. For Christmas, my son, (knowing how I loved pistachios) found your website and ordered a one pound bag of Turkish Antep pistachios. UNBELIEVABLE...I thought I had gone through a time tunnel.
I ate those in one evening and have since ordered two more bags.
By the way, your service is outstanding and the shipping box is a hoot.

“I've lost track on how many orders I've received from you. Your consistency is absolutely stellar, in terms of ordering, quick delivery and quality of your (in my case) Turkish pistachios and macadamia nuts. If anything, you are "improving with age". Thanks!”

“I really like Turkish (Antep) pistachios. Never even heard of Siirt variety until I visited Nuts.com recently. They are a little bigger and appreciably tastier that the Antep--that says a lot! I think they are worth it and I probably will buy both Antep and Siirt from now on.”

“Great Pistachios... I'm originally from Greece and I liked both the Antep and Siirt pistachios. Now if California pistachios could be processed the same way.”

“I received my 5 lbs of Turkish Pistachios (Siirt) and 5 lbs of Turkish Pistachios (Antep). I have been buying the Antep and love them. I wanted to try the Siirt. They are a better/fuller tasting nut.”

“I just received my first shipment of goodies from Nuts.com after hearing about them from my coworker. I ordered about 13 pounds of nuts and dried fruit on the 25th of May, a Friday and received them on the 30th of May, a Wednesday, in Afghanistan!! That is faster shipping than Amazon even given the Memorial Day holiday. I am also impressed with the quality and taste. I got the Medjool Dates, both varieties of Turkish pistachios to name a few and love them all. My whole work center was very interested and many of them will place orders too. Thank you Nuts.com family for great service and quality food. God bless!”
