“OMG, these are the best pistachios I've has since I was a teenager in the 50's. The ones grown in Calif. are terrible. Turkey grown or mid-east are the best tasting, crisp and just full of flavor. “Pistachios used to be my favorite nut years ago, but in the last 20 years since the California variety have become abundantly available (and cheap) I have gone away from pistachios, mainly because, while they where easy to open, and large, they lack flavor.
After doing a little research, I found out that most pistachios years ago came from Iran, Turkey, and other producers overseas.

Once they were gone, which was very quickly, I bought some from my local market. Very disappointing, no comparison to the Iranian variety.
