“If anyone out there has had a real case of "Pine Nut Mouth" (google it), you know it is terrible! Everything tastes bitter when it gets to the back of the mouth. Wine is nauseating. All foods are rendered bitter and foul. And it lasts for two weeks. TJ's gave me my money back. Caveat: Whole foods carries them too. Asian "Pine nuts" (Pinus Koraiensis) are not from the same species. These real mediterranean pine nuts (Pinus Pinea) are worth every penny if you love pignoli nuts.”

“Long story. Last week I made Italian pignoli cookies using pine nuts from Trader Joe's. Don't know if it was a bad batch, but I had an awful bitter taste in my mouth for several days. Some online research revealed that some people are sensitive to pine nuts from China, where most of them are grown these days. NutsOnline to the rescue - one of the few sources of European pine nuts. Ordered yesterday, can't believe UPS brought them today, just in time to bake up a new batch of cookies for New Year's Eve. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!”

“These are the best pine nuts I've ever tasted. I will not buy them elsewhere. They are worth every penny. Tonight we had them lightly toasted over sauteed dino kale. Fantastic. If you're concerned about the price, a little goes a long way with these beauties. Thank you, nutsonline, for bringing me real European pine nuts, not those Chinese things that have a weird aftertaste. Bravo!”
