For hearty breads and baked goods with a natural tomato flavor, add 1/2 ounce of tomato flour for every 1 pound of regular flour. Nutritional Powerhouse: Tomato powder boasts a rich source of vitamins A and C, which not only defend the immune system, but also protect the health of the eyes and skin. It’s also high in minerals like folate, potassium, magnesium, and iron which support a wide range of metabolic processes in the body. Tomato powder is also rich in dietary fiber which aids the digestive tract and promotes a feeling of fullness. Protective antioxidants present in tomatoes, like lycopene, defend cells against damage caused by free radicals, and may reduce the risk for chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and cancer.

Tomato Powder Storage
Tomato powder should be stored in a cool, dry place and can be kept for up to a year. To avoid clumping, keep the powder away from exposure to heat and moisture. It can be stored for longer periods in the freezer. Tomato pastes and sauces can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
