Natural dried mulberries are a delicious and nutritious snack. For a fruit, they have unusually high levels of iron and protein, and are a good source of many nutrients. These crunchy berries have no additives and pack a natural, sweet taste.
Our mulberries come from the white mulberry tree. The mulberry tree is also notable for its leaves, which are one of the only foods that silkworms will eat. Mulberry trees are great to have in the yard because they grow very quickly, provide a lot of shade, and grow tasty berries every year.
Mulberries are a compound fruit, like raspberries and blackberries, and have a mild flavor. Eating just a couple can be great for your health - just a serving contains significant amounts of Vitamin C, dietary fiber, iron, and protein. In addition, mulberries contain anthocyanins, a group of antioxidants known for their anti-inflammatory and possible anti-cancer properties, and reservatol, an antioxidant found in red wine and peanuts.
You can enjoy mulberries by themselves as a snack or add them to other dishes. Try mixing them in smoothies, cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt or baking them in muffins, pies, and chocolate cake. Mulberries can also be used to make puddings and wines.

tom, missoula, montana September 8, 2009“Wow!!!!!! Where do I start?? I received my package of 11 different items on 9/3. Nine of the bags have already been sampled by me and my family. I am however keeping a close watch on them as everyone who tries them LOVES them.
1. Tropical Fruit Salad- How can dried fruit taste so fresh? Similar store bought items aren't even half as good as yours. My wife can't believe the sweetness of the strawberries.
2. Gourmet Fruit Slices- Better than the ones I had as a kid 50 years ago and they were great.
3. Diced Coconut- Tastes as fresh as if I cracked the shell myself.
4. Dried Pineapple- I close my eyes and I am on the beach at Waikiki!
5. Banana Chips- The first I have ever had that didn't have a weird aftertaste. They are great mixed in your mouth with the coconut.
6.Mulberries- I haven't had mulberries since I had my grandmothers mulberry pie. We used to pick them for her and eat them as we did. Thanks for the memories and great taste.
7.Pastel Chocolate Bing Cherries- Heaven! Absolute Heaven!
8.Chocolate covered sunflower seeds- I'm originally from Kansas the Sunflower State but I never tasted anything like this in Kansas. Dorothy doesn't know what she and Totto are missing!
9. Mangosteen Powder- Who would buy this unkown fruit and especially in powder form? Well I took a chance and haven't had a smoothie or yogurt without it. The taste is different but good and the benefits to your body are great.
That leaves the Dried Starfruit and Papaya Chuncks that haven't been opened yet, but I have gotten to try them both in the fruit salad and once again just great flavor, no junk added.
Thanks for making this a very pleasant week as far as snacks go. And by the way my Doctor and Cardiologist thanks you too! They prefer I eat these snacks that have plenty of nutriants. I always thought you were just into nuts. What a pleasant surprise and I must say I have never bought on line from anyone who was so pleasant and truly concerned about my order and satisfaction. ***** star rating from me and those luck few that I have shared with.
