Known as the "Queen of Fruits," the mangosteen is renowned for more than just its taste. Mangosteen powder contains dozens of xanthones, sometimes known as "super-antioxidants."

The mangosteen fruit is native to Southeast Asia and Oceania, and is traditionally used in some Asian folk medicines. It first became popular in Britain, in the mid-1850s. Because of the mangosteen's unique, sweet flavor and fragrant aroma, many consider it the tastiest fruit in the world. The fruit grows on small evergreen trees, and its flesh is white, segmented, and juicy.

Our mangosteen powder is made, not from the mangosteen's white flesh, but from its purple rind (known as the pericarp), which contains most of the mangosteen's nutrients and its over-forty xanthones. Preliminary research has shown that xanthones' antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties may help strengthen the immune system.

To enjoy mangosteen powder, mix 1-2 tablespoons in smoothies, drinks, yogurt, or any other food. Our mangosteen powder is non-GMO.

Incidentally, the mangosteen has nothing to do with another tasty fruit, the organic mango.
