Natural Crystallized Ginger (Diced)
This imported diced crystallized ginger with no preservatives is ideal for a spicy snack, cooking or baking, or a unique cup of tea. It is simply ginger root that has been dried and preserved with a sugar coating.
Crystallized ginger is pungent with a spicy-sweet flavor and is moist and chewy. It is embraced as a natural remedy for reducing hot flashes - huge numbers of women swear by it. It helps alleviate indigestion and colds...and don't forget to take it with you on boat trips for sea sickness! (Some of us here know from experience that it's an absolutely essential part of your travel kit...)
Interestingly, ginger itself is as old as the recorded history of man. A native to southern Asian and India, it is spoken of in the Jewish Talmud, written about by Marco Polo, and even recommended by Henry VIII as a remedy against the plague.
The dice size is 3-5 MM.

“The 'chunks' were smaller than they looked in the illustration; HOWEVER, that said, the wee size turned out to be an added benefit: useful as a sprinkle on vanilla ice cream; & I expect them to go well on hot oatmeal when winter comes again. Also the work just fine as an aid to digestion: a tsp. or so works just as well as a small slice of preserved ginger for digestive purposes (It is better tasting & healthier than baking soda).”

“Thanks for the fast delivery. Your products are always well packed. The nuts and gluten-free flours I get from you are always fresher than they are in the stores. I've been shopping with you for years, and I'm never disappointed. Love the crystallized, chopped ginger. A spoonful sprinkled over vegetables or a salad adds just the perfect touch of sweet spice.”

“Make a whole wheat bread and throw in good amounts of dried cranberry and crystallized ginger! I also use it in an Asian dish with diced pork and oyster sauce, etc - really smooths out the flavor and adds a nice delicacy to the dish - not at all spicy hot.”

“This was my first order with nuts.com. I ordered crystalized ginger for a cookie recipe I always make at Christmas. It's so expensive in the grocery store and I was amazed at the price here! I will always order it from nuts.com in the future. Great service, also!”
Lana, Palm City, FL November 23, 2013
“Great service & love the packaging. And a free sample of ginger. Also the price of the diced ginger i ordered is one third that of King Arthurs Flour. Use it in my homemade granola so go through a lot. Why did I not find you sooner?”
