In South America and Mexico, plantain chips are considered the equivalent to potato chips in the United States. These crunchy and salty fried plantain chips are a delicious alternative to potato chips. One taste and you will understand why they are so popular around the world.
Enjoy Plantain Chips
Plantains are a member of the banana family, as you may have guessed from their appearance. They tend to be more starchy and less sweet than bananas, and are generally cooked before serving. Plantains are typically prepared as a vegetable, unlike the banana which is treated like a fruit. Throughout Latin America, plantain chips are popular as a tasty treat. Prepared from thinly sliced green plantains, the chips have an irresistible crunch and are great for dipping. Enjoy them with pico de gallo, guacamole, hot sauce, ceviche, or any other toppings. Plantain chips are also delicious straight out of the bag! They are also referred to as platanitos, mariquitas, chicharritas, and tajadas.
Ingredients:

Very tasty and crunchy. My only concern, and maybe not your fault, the plantains were almost all crushed or broken. Not very many in tact pieces. The box was damaged on one side so maybe that was the issue. But the bag looked in tact so I can't really tell what was the cause.

Great deal and one of my favorite snacks. Not horrible for you and really satisfies that salty chip craving.
