Wheatgrass powder is all natural wheatgrass ground into a perfect powder. Considered one of the most potent leafy green vegetables, our wheatgrass powder is non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) and is packed with beta-carotene, calcium, chlorophyll, fiber, iron and vitamin K.
Wheatgrass is simply the sprouted shoot of wheat. Wheatgrass powder has a slightly grassy flavor with a tinge of sweetness. Mix a tablespoon of wheatgrass powder with juice, smoothie or water, or sprinkle wheatgrass powder into a creamy salad dressing. 1-3 servings are recommended per day.
Studies are still being conducted on the benefits of wheatgrass, but preliminary research has been promising. According to a 2011 study in Acta Polonia Parmaceutica, wheatgrass helped reduce total and LDL ("bad") cholesterol in mice with abnormally high cholesterol. And, in a 2007 study released in Nutrition and Cancer, wheatgrass helped reduce complications of chemotherapy.
In addition, it's believed that wheatgrass powder helps cleanse the body of toxins, increase metabolism, reduce high blood pressure, and can act as a natural sleep aid.
