Maca (lepidium meyenii) is an adaptogenic root known for its dynamic natural effects--users tend to experience a big boost in energy, relief from stress and even an increase in libido. While it is sometimes prepared and eaten as a root vegetable in the few areas where it is available fresh, its nutritional and medicinal assets are concentrated in this raw organic maca powder.
By sprinkling a few teaspoons of this powder over food or stirring it into juice, smoothies or yogurt, you can prepare a concoction with a powerful dose of calcium, iron, magnesium, selenium and seven essential amino acids.
