Dried porcini mushrooms make an excellent addition to any recipe calling for mushrooms. These are grade A Chilean dried porcini mushrooms. Add to soups, stir fry, eggs, salads, or meat dishes.
Some of the mushrooms may have white spots on them. That is a natural coloring from the skins of the mushrooms. It is not mold and is perfectly safe to eat.

Let's face it-- if you're paying $5 for that tiny little envelope of dried mushrooms at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods or even your local grocery store, they're too expensive to cook with on a regular basis. Even if you buy them by the pound at a great Italian grocery, you're going to pay about ten times more than you'll pay for these, and they're every bit as delicious.
