Cardamom is a wonderful spice used to flavor many foods and drinks. It has a strong unique taste with an intense aromatic fragrance. Cardamom is often used in Middle Eastern food.

For recipes requiring whole cardamom pods, a generally accepted equivalent is 10 pods equals 1.5 teaspoons of ground cardamom.
