Gluten Free Millet Grits
Millet Grits are a good source of protein, essential amino acids and fiber. They cook quickly and make a great hot breakfast cereal or a tasty side dish as an alternative to potatoes or rice. Millets add a hint of sweetness when added to bread recipes.
INSTRUCTIONS: For delicious and nutritious hot Millet Grits, bring 3 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil. Add 1 cup of Millet Grits and reduce heat. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with milk and honey and add fruits and nuts as desired. Makes four servings.
There are approximately 2 1/2 cups per pound.
