Our beloved grandfather, Poppy Sol, started this business in an open-air market. Three generations later, we’re still bringing smiles to our customers' faces.
Popular in Italy, Lupini beans make a nutritious and tasty treat.
These large-sized beans are dried and do need to be cooked.
Pick over beans to remove any debris. Soak overnight, drain and rinse. Cover by several inches with fresh water and simmer for an hour.
Drain, rinse well, and cover with salted water (about 1 tablespoon per quart of water). Refrigerate.
Repeat this process every day for 5 days, or until the soaking brine is no longer bitter.
Beans will keep for weeks, covered with lightly salted water and refrigerated.
To serve as a snack, drain desired quantity of beans, drizzle with olive oil and freshly ground black pepper.

“I love Nuts.com! I routinely purchase the Lupine Beans and make a traditional Portuguese snack with them. They are the best quality and value that I have found.
I recently tried the Dry Roasted Salted Edamame. I am hooked! Oh my...they are delicious, crunchy and really addicting! I highly recommend them.”
