Our beloved grandfather, Poppy Sol, started this business in an open-air market. Three generations later, we’re still bringing smiles to our customers' faces.
Popular in Italy, Lupini beans make a nutritious and tasty treat.
These large-sized beans are dried and do need to be cooked.
Pick over beans to remove any debris. Soak overnight, drain and rinse. Cover by several inches with fresh water and simmer for an hour.
Drain, rinse well, and cover with salted water (about 1 tablespoon per quart of water). Refrigerate.
Repeat this process every day for 5 days, or until the soaking brine is no longer bitter.
Beans will keep for weeks, covered with lightly salted water and refrigerated.
To serve as a snack, drain desired quantity of beans, drizzle with olive oil and freshly ground black pepper.

“I ordered on Friday and received my package on Monday. I was shocked at the incredible speed of the delivery. I purchased more lupini seeds, a 5 lb bag this time. I use them for cosmetic purposes, and expect to receive great results with a larger purchase. Thanks for stocking this item that is difficult to get on this side of the ocean.”

“I ordered bulk lupini beans for my Dad who is living in NC and can't find them anywhere. Not only did he receive the shipment superfast but the price per pound was good. He is very happy with the quality of the beans. He's been preparing his own lupini beans for years so this was an extra special treat for him. Thanks so much. We'll be ordering again from your company.”

“You guys are too much. Love your product and your writers! My current order is great, but you out did yourselves with the gift order for my dad last Christmas- I believe he became protective of his nuts and chocolates - cause he wasn't interested in telling too many people he had them. Absolutely wonderful and delicious. Thanks.”

“Well if Joanna was having trouble finding these in So. Cal. just imagine Atl. GA.
These were something I also enjoyed as a child when we would go to NY to visit the Italian side of the family (they have all kinds of strange things to eat)
Last Christmas my sister had found one of the precooked and soak jars and it was wonderful to have them again. I've always heard the younger adults say "you can find anything on the web" and sure enough, there they were. If it hadn't been for my sister bringing that jar from a specialty shop I wouldn't have known the proper name for since they had always been referred to as just lubeans. Still don't know why I ordered 15 lbs of them but they will keep being a dried bean. Thanks Nuts Online”

“Found you online after spending much time searching for lupini beans anywhere in So. Cal. I am so pleased with my order - beans are perfect, have started the ritual process to cure in traditional Italian style. Will order again without hesitation. Thanks.”
