“The Peppermint malted milk balls are going to be hard to keep in the house. I've just received my second order of them (we've been nutsonline ordering for a while, though). I thought I was so smart, hiding the bag of peppermint milk balls and breaking down the box. But my daughter saw the cardboard in the recycle bin and demanded to know where the peppermint balls were. I refused to tell. My husband wants some, since the kids ate them all last time, and he's away for 3 more days. I have to keep them hidden that long. The peppermint malt balls will be used as a Christmas gift for our daughter who lives in Romania (she just arrived today). The pumpkin malt balls will be shared over the next few days with loved ones. Not sure what I am doing with the Dutch mints right now.
I am so excited about your company. My husband and I grew up in Newark (in the Evergreen section--close to the Elizabeth city line). I can remember my dad grocery shopping on Mulberry Street. He went once a month by bus number ll, 12 or 24 (if my memory is correct). I wonder if he bought your products. I know he came home with all kinds of great stuff. (I came across your wonderful site when I was looking for a pumpkin seed recipe. I think your site will be one of my favorite places to check out and buy. I have told my friends about you and they do want to learn about you as well.)
Is there a way to get any products that say Newark Nut Company on them? I thought it would be fun to send something to my sister in FL or other friends to introduce your products to them.
Thanks for being such a user friendly site as well. We Newarkers have to stick together. Where did you guys grow up? Or relatives before you? I went to South Side HS -66; husband went to Weequachic HS--61; I went to Kean University (NSC), he went to NJIT (NCE). We got to TX 27 years ago via a job move. We love it here, but miss lots of things about Jersey (family,friends, the shore, food, etc.)
