Hi Karen, excellent points -- both that those with a peanut allergy can eat almond flour unless it's packaged in a facility with peanut products, as ours is. If you have a hard time finding completely peanut-free packaged almond flour, we recommend grinding almonds finely in a food processor to make your own almond flour!

FYI......our daughter is deathly allergic to tree nuts but can eat almonds with no problem since they are a fruit (part of the peach family) and not a tree nut. I suppose one could be allergic to almonds just as there are those with peanut allergies, but a treee nut allergic person normally is not allergic to almonds. If the almond flour is made in the same factory as there are tree nuts....that is a different story.

Hi Raquel, it depends on the pie recipe you're using! The recipe should let you know how long to bake the pie, and at what temperature.

Thanks again, my 'nutty' friends for the great almond flour suggestions. I have hesitated using it in the past as I was
unsure of the measurement ( if it had to be a certain proportion to regular flour) but you have cleared that detail and
I am now more confident and will ' go to town ' in my baking, etc. You are a godsend in so many ways!
Sincerely, Kay Harrison Kramer - North Miami Beach, Fl.
